IDEA B Special Education Funds 

School Year 2024-2025

As part of Federal regulations, the district must conduct a hearing of the public in regards to how the district spends its IDEA B Special Educations Funds. IDEA B Special Education Funds are allocated to the district based on the state's annual federal child count. 

These funds are awarded to school districts to supplement the education for students with disabilities and can not be used to supplant district financial responsibilities. The financial responsibility of the district is referred to as Maintenance of Effort. 

Bristol Local School District will receive $133,269.79 for the 2024-2025 school year in IDEA B funds. The district uses these funds currently to provide special education teachers and to provide special education transportation services.  At this time, we would like to offer the public an opportunity to provide input regarding the district's use of IDEA B Funds.
